Mission Statement:
The North Seattle Batting Cage facility is operated by North Seattle Baseball Association.
Our mission is to teach the fundamental skills of baseball. At the same time we wish to use baseball and our league as a way to provide personal growth for our players and help build communities.
North Seattle Baseball is an established youth baseball league serving North Seattle families. We are a certified non-profit all-volunteer organization run by parents and other volunteers who want to positively influence children in our community through baseball.
The purpose of operating the batting cages has been to give our players an opportunity to practice, get instruction and prepare for baseball in an area that is comfortable, dry and warm. Due the generally wet weather in Seattle, outside practice time is very limited until sometime in February / March. This doesn’t give the kids an opportunity to improve at the game of baseball until the baseball season actually starts in late March. By having this facility our hope is we can encourage more children to learn the game and help to meet their goals for the future and most importantly “Have Fun”.
Initially, when we established this facility it was intended only for our league. Due to increased costs in Seattle of facility space and utilities, the NSBA opened the facility to other leagues, high schools, softball teams or any individual that wants to utilize the facility to sharpen their game of baseball or softball.
Our location in Lake City is a perfectly centralized location for most people in greater Seattle.
